Serbia's game development scene is once again getting its own spotlight on one of the world's biggest gaming platforms. From September 21 to 28, Serbian Games Week on Steam brings together games made in Serbia and puts them in front of a global audience.
This year's edition features more than 200 titles. The selection includes released games available at a discount during the promotion, as well as upcoming projects that players can already add to their Steam wishlists. The global promotion started on September 25, while Serbian Games Week runs until September 28.
From major local successes to games still on the way
More than 200 games make Serbian Games Week a pretty good snapshot of what is currently being built in Serbia. The selection ranges from simulations and RPGs to horror games, major international projects and indie titles created by smaller local teams.
One of the most recognizable titles is Going Medieval, a colony simulation developed by Novi Sad based Foxy Voxel and published by Mythwright. After almost five years in Early Access, the full version was released on March 17, 2026. By that point, the game had sold more than one million copies, with SGA describing it as the most successful Serbian PC game to date.
A different example of local development and publishing is Derail Valley from Altfuture, which acts as both developer and publisher. The game puts players behind the controls of massive trains across an open railway network and supports both traditional PC gameplay and VR. Derail Valley is still in Early Access on Steam.
Among the upcoming releases, Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival stands out as one of the biggest projects currently being worked on by Mad Head Games. The studio is part of the Saber Interactive group, with team members from Belgrade, Novi Sad and Sarajevo working on the project. Saber Interactive is listed on Steam as both developer and publisher. The game brings a new story to the Hellraiser universe and is scheduled to launch on PC and consoles on October 8, 2026.
Dark fantasy fans may also want to keep an eye on Nazralath: The Fallen World. The game is developed and independently published by Euclidean Studios. It is an atmospheric third person adventure with RPG elements, focused on narrative and exploration, with a world inspired in part by the work of Zdzisław Beksiński.
There is also Godforged: Origins of Ozgalor from Tricoman Studios, which is both developing and publishing the game. Godforged is a single player action RPG combining tactical combat, different classes and player choices that shape the story and the future of its world.
One place for the Serbian gaming scene
Serbian Games Week also shows how many different development and publishing models now exist within the local industry. The same event features studios working with international publishers such as Mythwright and Saber Interactive, teams publishing their games independently and smaller developers still working to reach a wider audience.
According to SGA data for 2025, premium games made in Serbia were purchased more than 600,000 times across different platforms, while free games generated more than 300 million downloads. Serbian Games Week is another opportunity for players around the world to discover what is currently being built across the local scene.
All 200 plus titles can be explored through the official Serbian Games Week page on Steam until September 28.
