About the Role

Join IGT's Blue Goat Studio in Belgrade as Senior Concept Artist and help define the visual identity of games from the ground up. You'll shape world-class visual direction, from characters and environments to UI and effects, working closely with Game Designers, Artists, and Developers. Strong emphasis on AI-driven creative workflows and 2D animation.

Responsibilities

Partner with Game Designers and cross-functional teams to define and develop compelling visual directions for games and features
Create high-quality concept and production art, including characters, environments, backgrounds, UI elements, and visual effects
Develop strong visual language that guides the entire production pipeline from early ideation to final implementation
Ensure consistency and world-class quality across all visual assets, helping establish and maintain a strong art direction
Collaborate with designers, developers, and product teams to deliver engaging and visually impactful solutions
Produce world-class visual content efficiently, balancing creativity with production needs and timelines
Integrate assets into Unity when needed, supporting implementation and ensuring high visual fidelity in-engine
Stay on top of industry trends, tools, and visual standards, continuously striving to meet and exceed them across all projects
Actively use AI tools in the creative workflow and continuously explore new AI-driven techniques to improve speed, quality, and innovation
Create and support 2D animation assets and motion concepts as part of the production pipeline

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a Concept Artist role (we are open to exceptionally talented candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong potential and craft)
Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
Excellent drawing and design fundamentals (composition, color, lighting, form)
Proven experience in 2D animation
Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, versatility, and production-quality work
Strong understanding of game development pipelines and production workflows
Proactive, self-driven mindset with ability to take ownership and work independently
Actively using AI tools and a strong interest in staying at the forefront of AI-driven creative development

Nice-to-have

Experience working with Unity and/or in-engine asset implementation
Knowledge of 3D tools (Maya, Blender)
Background in game development or real-time production environments
Experience with Spine or similar 2D animation tools
