About the Role
IGT is seeking a Platform Automation Engineer to join its Casino Systems Platform Engineering team. The role focuses on designing, implementing and continuously improving the automation, infrastructure and software delivery capabilities that enable engineering teams to build, test, deploy and operate casino products efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins and Argo CD
- Develop and support infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Support Kubernetes based application platforms and deployment environments
- Contribute to platform engineering initiatives that improve developer productivity, self service capabilities, automation and observability
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, build and deployment issues across development, test and production environments
- Support AWS and on premises environments used throughout the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery workflows, deployment reliability and developer experience
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and automation procedures
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, standups and retrospectives
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or Infrastructure Automation
- Experience working with Windows and Linux systems and troubleshooting technical issues
- Experience with Git and modern source control practices
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar technologies
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and software delivery practices
- Understanding of containers and Kubernetes
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Backstage or other Internal Developer Platform technologies
- Exposure to FinOps practices, reporting or data analysis
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible or other Infrastructure as Code technologies
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar CI/CD platforms
- Familiarity with Argo CD, Helm and GitOps deployment practices
- Hands on software development experience building enterprise applications, services or APIs using .NET, Java or similar languages
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and software quality tooling
